Special School of the State Border Service

The Special School of the State Border Service in Mardakan settlement of Khazar district, Baku, has been reconstructed following the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s initiative. On October 18, 2011, First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva attended the inauguration of the Special School.

 

An assembly hall, a museum created in honour of national leader Heydar Aliyev, an interactive shooting hall, as well as foreign language, informatics, physics and primary military training laboratories are functioning in the school. All laboratories have been provided with new and state-of-the-art equipment.

 

The dormitory building of the school has separate exercise rooms for girls and boys, a library provided with publications by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, a canteen, and recreation and sleeping rooms.

 

Paintball, equestrian and football pitches have been built in the school’s backyard. Military methods such as rules of fighting, attacking and defence are taught on the paintball pitch.

On March 5, 2018, opening of a new education building of the Special School of the State Border Service (SBS) in Mardakan settlement of Khazar district, Baku, took place. First Vice-president of the Republic of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva attended the inauguration ceremony.

 

Total area of SBS Special School’s new building – a joint project of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the State Border Service - is 11 thousand square metres. 23 general education, 8 specialized education, logic and individual training classrooms, sleeping rooms for 400 students, a library with a rich literature fund, a swimming pool, an interactive shooting hall and a canteen have been created here. This education institution has been provided with state-of-the-art equipment. A video surveillance system covering the whole complex has been installed.

 

Basic construction and development works have been carried out on the territory of the SBS’s Special School, vast greenery areas laid out, over 1000 trees planted. New row square meeting contemporary standards has been created in the complex during the construction works. Moreover, there are also conditions for students’ engaging in equestrian training. Paintball and other types of sport grounds also have been placed at students’ disposal on the school’s territory.
