Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva visits the Child Clinic of the National Oncology Centre

Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyev paid a visit to the Child Clinic of the National Oncology Centre (NOC), September 10.

 

Visiting children being treated at the Clinic, Leyla Aliyeva inquired about their health condition, and how their treatment progressed.

 

Academician Jamil Aliyev, the director of the National Oncology Centre, gave information about the treatments used at the Child Clinic. He said all types of complex treatment are performed at the Clinic on a high level. Here, chemical and ray therapy, surgical treatment and immune therapy are performed successfully.

 

Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Leyla Aliyeva took interest in the aspects necessary for the future activity of the Child Clinic, and said the Foundation always attached importance to healthcare issues, especially those associated with children’s health.

 

Leyla Aliyeva talked with children being treated at the Child Clinic, gave them gifts, wished quick recovery, and was photographed with them. Parents expressed gratitude for the conditions created here, and thanked President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva and the Foundation’s Vice-president Leyla Aliyeva.

 

Chief physician of the National Oncology Centre of Azerbaijan Azad Karimli said there was not a big difference between the principles of treating oncological diseases in children and adults. However, treatment of children has its own distinguished features. Struggling against child oncological diseases is like battling with an invisible enemy. This is a very complex and critical job. Therefore, various projects are underway with a view to developing the child oncology and haematology in the country.

 

It’s been brought to attention that the specialists working at the Child Clinic have received their education at the Aziz Aliyev State Physicians Qualification Improvement Institute of Azerbaijan, and leading medical institutions of Austria, USA, Germany, and Turkey. At the Clinic, therapy is conducted by protocols conforming to modern standards, and any complications arising are removed with professionalism. The primary objective is to cure patients, using international practice, new technological capabilities, with individual approach to every patient. The Child Clinic of NOC has been provided with the most advanced medical equipment, all types of medical accessories required in a day-to-day operation, and medications, at the state’s cost.

 

At the moment, 38 children are receiving treatment at the Clinic. There are many children distinguished for their intellect and talent.

 

Leyla Aliyeva talked with children in a special corner of the Clinic, and gave them presents. Children told poems about Azerbaijan, on the theme of patriotism, sang songs, and were photographed together. Children with artistic talent presented their handicrafts to Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva.

 

Leyla Aliyeva also talked with the team of the Clinic, and wished them every success in their activities.
