Meeting with a delegation led by Vice-speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine National Congress Patricia Jimenez

Azerbaijan’s First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva met, September 29, a delegation led by Vice-speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine National Congress Patricia Jimenez, who are on a visit to our country to participate in the 5th Baku International Humanitarian Forum.

 

Saying that with its primary objective to give a message of peace, this Forum has created a good chance to get more closely to know our country, Mehriban Aliyeva brought to attention that friendly ties have been built between Azerbaijan and Argentine and there are more potential for a broader cooperation, and noted that our country has always made efforts to bring representatives of different religions and nations together. Confidence was expressed that relations between our countries in political, economic, cultural and other spheres will become stronger in future, and that the Heydar Aliyev Foundation was ready to provide support to joint projects that could be realized between our countries.

 

Patricia Jimenez said this was their first trip to Baku, and the city’s beauty has made a pleasant impression on them.

 

Underscoring that this Forum has become a platform of international scale, bringing together representatives of a number of countries, laureates of Nobel Prize, members of the delegation said there are broad possibilities to develop the relations between Azerbaijan and Argentine further. The guests brought to attention that preparations are underway to the mugham-tango festival, which is dedicated to the Azerbaijan-Argentine relations and would be a contribution to the cultural cooperation between our countries.

 

At the end of the meeting, Mehriban Aliyeva was presented a keepsake.
