A free of charge action has been held at the Neftchiler Hospital for children with inborn heart failure, following the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and with the support of the Health Ministry.

In an action lasting for a week, children with inborn heart failure were examined, treated and operated on free of charge. Head of the Hospital’s Cardiovascular Inefficiency Centre Rashad Mahmudov noted that regular Children’s Week programs have been implemented recent years by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. This time, very complex heart surgeries were carried out on some 20 children with inborn hear failure, with participation of local and foreign physicians. Young physicians and specialists receiving residency education in Azerbaijan too were involved in the surgeries. In addition to low-income families, examination and treatment of over 60 children with complex inborn heart failure were organized during the week.
