Inauguration of the Uzeir Hajibeyli 6th International Music Festival takes place
Inauguration of the Uzeir Hajibeyli 6th International Music Festival took place at the Muslim Magomayev Azerbaijan State Philharmonic, with the joint support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan, September 18.
Eminent musicians, artistic groups, soloists and conductors have participated in concerts of this international music festival held since 2009 and devoted to Uzeir Hajibeyli, a great composer and the founder of Azerbaijani professional music.
The Festival commenced with the overture of Koroghlu Opera by the great composer, performed by the State Symphonic orchestra named after Uzeir Hajibeyli.
The concert by I.Brams for violin and orchestra, as well as the concert by people’s Artist of Azerbaijan Arif Malikov for fortepiano and orchestra were performed.
The Festival will continue until September 28.
