A new building will be constructed for the Sheki mixed type children’s home with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation

Executive Director of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Anar Alakbarov and representatives of the Foundation’s Regional Development Public Union made themselves familiar with the current condition of the Sheki mixed type children’s home’s building. According to the information provided, the building was constructed in 1897 and has been operating as a children’s home since 1930. Children of 3 to 19 deprived of parental care have been residing in the children’s home. The building has fallen into disrepair, becoming useless for the children’s home, with the existing infrastructure being fully disadvantageous for comfortable residence of children.

Representatives of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation made themselves familiar with the existing condition of the children’s home and viewed a few areas in Sheki city where a new building could be constructed.

With a view to improving the living conditions of the children inhabiting the Sheki mixed type children’s home, as well as properly organizing their education and leisure, construction of a new building will start soon, following the instruction given by President of the Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva.
