A meeting takes place with volunteers of the Regional Development Public Association of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation

A meeting with volunteers of the Regional Development Public Association (RDPA), established at the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s initiative, was arranged in Ganja city.

 

Executive Director of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Anar Alakbarov said two consecutive marathons held in Baku following the initiatives of Azerbaijan’s First Vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva and Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva aroused great interest in people. It was mentioned that a proposal had been put forward by the Regional Development Public Association to arrange such a competition in the region. The fact that over 11 thousand people participated in the Ganja Marathon, which was taking place for the first time, testifies to there being great interest also in the regions towards this project.

 

Underscoring that the one-year term of operation of the Regional Development Public Association, established following the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s President Mehriban Aliyeva, comes to the end, Anar Alakbarov said all the proposals received from citizens during the past period have been taken into account. It was noted that the works carried out by RDPA have been projects serving people, and such projects have received high appreciation of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s president. RDPU’s volunteers have taken close part in the organization’s projects in social, healthcare and education fields, including those related to building education institutions in regions, provision thereof with necessary equipment, and works carried out towards supporting physically handicapped people.

 

Anar Alakbarov, talking about the works carried out by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in the regions, mentioned that construction of a new building for a children’s home in Sheki city has started, and that implementation of a project associated with a children’s home in Ganja city too is planned.

 

Volunteers of the organization from each region was called on to take active part in projects of RDPA and get mobilized for good jobs in the name of Azerbaijan and the country’s president.  


Speaking at the meeting, MP Ganira Pashayeva said projects implemented by RDPA, including the marathon organized in Ganja, were of importance from the standpoint of keeping the regions and the youth active.
