Representatives of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation are in Aghdam on the instruction of Mehriban Aliyeva
Representatives of the Regional Development Public Association (RDPA) of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation held meetings in Aghdam district, November 9.
At the meeting held with the youth in the Heydar Aliyev Center in Aghdam district, Assistant to the First Vice-president of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Executive Director of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Anar Alakbarov gave information about the projects implemented and works carried out by RDPA during the one year of the organization’s activity. According to him, RDPA has been operating towards establishing closer relations with population, and carrying out public control. Noting that the youth have been playing an active role in RDPA’s projects, Anar Alakbarov called on the Aghdam district youth to play active role in the organization’s activities and put forward their ideas and proposals towards the district’s development.
Underscoring this meeting’s coinciding with 9th November – the State Flag Day – Anar Alakbarov conveyed congratulations of the Foundation’s President Mehriban Aliyeva to the attendees of the meeting. Anar Alakbarov expressed confidence that our tricolour flag will fly in all districts of Azerbaijan, including the regions now under Armenian occupation.
Giving information about the projects of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in the spheres of culture, education, healthcare and social issues, it was noted that all appeals of public nature received by RDPA are treated with attention, and works are carried out towards their solution.
It was further noted that works have been carried out by RDPA towards developing the youth’s skills and abilities, extending the possibilities for their education, and providing support to those suffering from various diseases, and those in need of special care.
Anar Alakbarov said high achievements were reached during RDPA’s activity, highlighting that in future, the scale of the projects to be implemented in the regions will be extended. “We invite you to closely watch RDPA’s activities and take active part in the implementation of its projects. We are implementing our projects relying on you, the youth”, - said Anar Alakbarov. He called on the youth to convey their proposals and appeals through RDPA’s official website, official pages on social networks, “Hotline” of the public association, and be active in the organization’s electronic platforms.
MP, chairperson of the National Assembly’s Youth and Sports Committee Fuad Muradov said projects, programmes are today implemented very successfully under the leadership of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and successful results have been achieved on the fulfilment of the state programmes. He gave information about the projects implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation as a support to this policy. It was noted that the Foundation has been continuously implementing successful projects, and RDPA is among them. The MP underscored that RDPA has for the first time achieved formation of a voluntary movement in the regions of Azerbaijan, gathering the active youth around itself. “RDPA can be successful together with you”, - said Fuad Muradov.
The youth of Aghdam district spoke with various proposals and appeals at the meeting. It was noted that 20 people who have participated in the projects implemented in Aghdam district have been provided with jobs. At the meeting, it was also informed that graduates of Aghdam district’s high schools have reached high results, and 519 of them entered higher schools. Some of these young people study on a paid-for basis, and it was suggested that their education cost be covered and support is provided to some residents who are in need of medical treatment.
Then a meeting took place with veterans and the disabled of the Garabagh war. It was noted that taking care of the people who have participated in the battles for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan have always been a focus of attention of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Foundation’s President Mehriban Aliyeva. Anar Alakbarov emphasized the significance of veterans’ supporting projects aiming at bringing up the youth in the national and patriotic spirit.
Chairperson of the Public Association of Demobilized Military Men For Youth Enlightenment Emin Hasanli said President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva had her first meeting with IDPs after she was appointed to the office of First Vice-president of the Republic of Azerbaijan, having solved their problems associated with apartment, and soldiers and officers wounded at the April 2016 battles were provided with high-tech artificial limbs, following Mehriban Aliyeva’s initiative. Emin Hasanli noted that this action was highly appreciated by martyr’s families, veterans, and the disabled of the Garabagh war.
Proposals were put forward at the meeting with regard to strengthening the social protection of those who have participated in the battles for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and providing some citizens who have become disabled in the Garabagh battles with wheelchairs. Anar Alakbarov said the issues raised will be examined and necessary support provided.
Thereafter, Aghdam District Central Hospital was donated one ambulance car. Some 95 thousand people are living in the district’s territory. Considering the density of the population and large number of calls, the Health Ministry allocated one more ambulance car for the hospital, following the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s initiative.
Representatives of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation also familiarized themselves with the progress of construction of the Aghdam Mugham Centre.
The Aghdam Mugham Centre is being constructed at the initiative and with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Total area of the Centre’s building will be 1800 square metres, with total area of the interior being 1580 square metres. Here will be created a hall for 328 people, a foyer, and gallery, decoration, makeup and waiting rooms, as well as classrooms.
The Centre is constructed for the purpose of immortalising and propagating mugham, a rich national and moral treasure of the people of Azerbaijan.
Representatives of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation held meetings with representatives of the public in Aghdam district, and as a continuation of these meetings, they visited various households in villages, including a martyr’s family.
Significance of active participation of the public’s representatives in RDPA’s projects was emphasized, and it was noted that representatives of RDPA are functioning in various districts, and everyone could appeal to them with their proposals.
