An action devoted to the World Diabetes Day takes place in Moscow following the initiative of Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva

The Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia (AYOR) held an action in connection with the World Diabetes Day at the Pediatrics Clinic of the Child Endocrinology Department of the I.M.Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University (FMSMU), following the initiative of Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva.

 

The theme of this year’s international day is called “Healthy Lifestyle and Diabetes”. One of the organizers, a member of AYOR’s management board, candidate of medical sciences Samir Aliyev talked about the diabetes in children and emphasized that the number of people with the first type diabetes is growing. This is also called a youth diabetes. He also underscored the significance of healthy lifestyle in the struggle against the diabetes. AYOR’s representatives – students of FMSMU, together with Alisa Vitebski, the head of the Child Endocrinology Department, explained little patients the importance of self-control with diabetes. Then children joined various contests and games with new friends.

 

At the end of the event, AYOR’s representatives presented home appliances to the medical establishment on behalf of Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva, and gave gifts to children. The clinic’s management expressed their gratitude to AYOR’s chairperson Leyla Aliyeva, as well as those who have taken active part in the organization and holding of the action on the World Diabetes Day.
