Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva participates in a festivity held for children in need of special care

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation hosted another entertainment programme for children deprived of parental care, and those with Down syndrome. Held on the eve of the 94th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev, this event was attended by over 200 children being educated in Children Homes No. 1, 2 and 3 of Baku, as well as children being treated at the Rehabilitation Centre for People with Down Syndrome.

 

Various competitions took place at the event, arranged with participation of Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva, and distinguished participants were presented souvenirs.

 

Performances of masters of art and shows prepared aroused much interest in children and juveniles who attended the event.

 

Children presented their own programmes made specifically for this event. The dance programme of people with down syndrome was welcomed with applauses.

 

Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva danced together with children, then was photographed with them.

 

At the end of the festivity, children were presented gifts from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

 

Ensuring that children deprived of parental care and those in need of special care are covered with family care, securing their education, efficient organization of their leisure has been one of the priority directions in the activities of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

 

The Foundation has been arranging various events on a regular basis. President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva and Vice-president Leyla Aliyeva pay regular visits to children homes and boarding schools, visit children in need of special care and take close part in ensuring that they receive high-level education, spend their leisure efficiently, as well as in solving their daily problems.
