The Heydar Aliyev Foundation will support Isfar Sarabski's participation in the MIDEM Festival to be held in Cannes

Young virtuosic performer, the winner of the 2009 Montreux International Music Festival, jazzman Isfar Sarabski will - with support from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation – participate in the MIDEM Festival to be held in February this year in Cannes.  

 

Having been held since 1967 in France, this festival has been considered a big event in the music world. Known as an international bazaar and traditionally joined by world-renowned companies, the festival brings together professional musicians from all over the world that aim to extend their musical activity and determine new directions of development. Serving the development of the music industry, the Festival is considered also as a space for exchange of information and being known on an international scale.

 

6400 representatives and 3000 companies have participated only in the last year’s MIDEM Festival. The festival, which accommodated 1350 stands and pavilions, was covered by 350 correspondents from around the world.

 

In the Festival, in which professional trade fairs and concerts are held, winners are presented NRJ Music Awards.

 

This year, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation participates in the MIDEM Festival both as a partner and a sponsor. In the festival to be held February 1 - 4, Azerbaijan will participate with Isfar Sarabski Band. On February 2, Isfar Sarabski’s music band will perform in Majestic Barrier Hotel’s Diane Hall. In the concert, Isfar Sarabski will perform Azerbaijani jazz, accompanied by professional musicians.   

 

At the moment, Isfar Sarabski pursues his music studies at Berklee College of Music, enjoying the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
