President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attend the ceremony of laying the foundation of the Mugham Centre in Guzanly settlement of Aghdam district

On December 3, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva attended the ceremony of laying the foundation of Aghdam Mugham Centre.

Aghdam Mugham Centre will be constructed at the initiative and with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. For the construction of the Centre, 7800 square metres of land plot has been allocated by the district’s executive authority at the Khyndyrstan-Guzanly motorway. Total area of the Centre’s building will be 1800 square metres, with the total internal area of 1580 square metres. A car parking area will be built on the territory for 60 cars. A 328-seat assembly hall, a foyer, a gallery, as well as decoration, make-up, waiting and study rooms will be created in the building.

To serve to promotion of mugham – the national and spiritual rich of our people, and its immortalization, this significant project too will make its contribution to the development of music culture in our country.

President Ilham Aliyev laid the foundation of the Aghdam Mugham Centre.

The Head of the State set tasks concerning the quality and timely construction of the Centre.
