Winners of “Azerbaijani Family-2016” Film Festival are rewarded

Held with joint organizational support of the State Committee for Family, Woman and Child Issues, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and UN’s Population Fund, “Azerbaijani Family-2016” Film Festival came to an end.

On this occasion, a closing ceremony of the Festival took place, November 29, at the International Mugham Centre.

A photo competition entitled “From Life To Picture” is held, for the third time already, in the framework of “Azerbaijani Family” Film Festival. This year, 38 films and 82 photos presented by 31 participants took part this year in “Azerbaijani Family” Film Festival.

The primary objective of the Festival is to advocate family, national and moral values among the youth, using the possibilities of cinematography. One of its main targets is to look for ways of solving challenges faced in the society in this field, by throwing light on them, and strengthening the institute of family further. In these films, along with positive qualities, such important problems as early marriage, deviation of children - girls in particular - from education, human trafficking, psychological condition in a family, and reintroduction of people with restricted health condition into the society – have been reflected.

At the ceremony, first was demonstrated a video footage consisting of films and photos presented to the Festival.
