100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic - Paris
On May 24, 2018, an evening of Azerbaijan, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, took place in Paris, with support from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the embassy of Azerbaijan in France.
The attendees of the event were demonstrated an exhibition comprised of photos and video materials dedicated to the history of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic.
At the dinner party arranged in the Opera Hall, a music programme was presented by Honoured Artist Isfar Sarabski and tarzan Shahriyar Imanov.
In the framework of the event, a documentary about our country’s culture, nature, economic achievements, and big international events hosted by the country were demonstrated on big monitors installed in the exhibition and dinner-party halls.
Guests were presented publications of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation about Azerbaijan’s history, culture, and cuisine.
On May 25, a scientific conference entitled “First secular parliamentary republic of the Orient: values and heritage” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic took place at the French International Diplomatic Academy.
A documentary about the history of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic was shown at the conference.
After the event, the participants became familiarized with the exhibition comprised of photo and video materials dedicated to the history of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic. The exhibition reflecting the first republic’s founders and the Declaration of Independence aroused interest in the visitors.
