100th anniversary of the Democratic Republic of Azerbaijan – Vatican
On September 27, 2018, the 100th anniversary of the Democratic Republic of Azerbaijan was celebrated in Vatican, with the organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Embassy of Azerbaijan in France and the Holy See.
Participants of the event were presented an exhibition comprised of photo and video materials dedicated to the history of the Democratic Republic of Azerbaijan. The exhibition, which reflected the meetings of the first republic’s founders, the Declaration of Independence, and development of the oil industry - the artery of our economy, aroused great interest in the participants.
A concert programme performed by Azerbaijani masters of art was presented at the Cancelleria Palace of the Holy See, led by People’s Artist Anvar Sadykhov and Honoured Artist Emil Afrasiyab.
A documentary about our country’s culture, nature, economic achievements and large international events hosted by the country were demonstrated on large monitors installed in the dinner-party and exhibition halls, in the framework of the event.
