Siam Festival devoted to Azerbaijan’s national music in France

The Siam Festival was held with the organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in the old castle Siam located on Jura mountains of France, 6-11 July 2014. Aiming to closely introduce Azerbaijan’s cultural treasures to the French, the Festival was devoted to Azerbaijan’s national music.

 

Primary initiator and director of the festival was Pierre Tilloy, the author of the work “Khojaly 613” 

 

47 works have been performed at the Festival attended by over 100 composers, performers and musicians from various countries of the world.

 

On the first day of the Festival, works by famous composers Uzeir Hajibeyli, Fikret Amirov, Suleyman Alasgarov, Vagif Adygozalov, Khayyam Mirzazadeh, Musa Mirzayev, Firangiz Alizadeh etc. were performed by Azerbaijani and French musicians.

 

Performances of  People’s Artist of Azerbaijan Murad Huseynov, jazzman Emil Afrasiab, young singers Arzu Aliyeva, Ehtiram Huseynov, accompanying them Elshan and Malik Mansurov brothers, and Husameddin Azizov were listened to within the framework of the Festival.
