Traditional festivity for children

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation has organized a traditional festivity for children at Buta Palace, on the occasion of the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and the New Year.

On December 28, Azerbaijan’s First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva, Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva, and Arzu Aliyeva attended the festivity.

Mehriban Aliyeva addressed the festive event:

- Dear parents, respected teachers!

I would like to thank you all, from the bottom of my heart, on the upcoming New Year. I wish you every success, happiness and sound health. I wish all your children to study well in the New Year, continue their education, become educated persons, and master knowledge. Every person’s future, his fortune is ensured by his knowledge, his education. Therefore, dear children, your duty today is to study well and become educated persons.

I wish all our children to be loyal to the Homeland, love it and grow up as patriots. To live in a country like Azerbaijan is great happiness. Azerbaijan boasts of a matchless nature, old and rich culture, and a talented nation. This year, Azerbaijan has reached a number of achievements. Hundreds of new schools and kindergartens were built and renovated this year, our cities have improved and become more beautiful, and Azerbaijan’s image rose on the international arena.  Azerbaijan’s first satellite was launched into the space this year. In fact, we all should be proud of our country, and work hard for Azerbaijan’s development and becoming stronger.

The 31st December is the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day. Today, we all greet our fellow countrymen living in different parts of the world, and wish them happiness, sound health and successes in the New Year.

I once more congratulate all of you from the bottom of my heart. Dear children, I love you all very much. I wish every our child to grow in an environment of love and peace, and every Azerbaijani family be happy. I would like to once more congratulate you on these holidays, and wish happiness and peace to the people of Azerbaijan. Thank you very much!
