A culture house constructed by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Gakh is commissioned

On March 28th, a culture house constructed by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Gakhingiloy village of Gakh district was commissioned.

The Culture House of Gakhingiloy village has been in operation since 1965. As the building of the culture house had been in exploitation for many years, it had fallen into disrepair recent years. In March 2020, the building was demolished and a new building was constructed in its place. The culture house has been provided with necessary furniture and equipment, and improvement works were carried out in the backyard.

The culture house accommodates a vast auditorium, a scene, rooms for painting and sculpture to arrange trainings for types of art, as well as for ensemble, music and literary courses. Guest and makeup rooms are located on the second floor of the building.

Head of a division at the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Elvin Aslanov, head of the Gakh District Executive Authority Musa Shekiliyev, director of Gakhingiloy village Culture House Iago Kasiashvili and villager Zaira Kuloshvili spoke at the opening ceremony.

“Svitkasto” Georgian Popular Choir and “Imedi” Dance Group have been functioning at the culture house since 1982 and 1991, respectively. Both the groups have participated in events of district and republican levels, as well as in those held by the Culture Ministry, and were awarded honorary diplomas. “Svitkasto” Georgian Popular Choir successfully represented the district of Gakh in a Kharybulbul Music Festival held in May 2021 on the Jydyr Plain of Shusha, the cultural capital of Azerbaijan.

“Imedi” Dance Group of the culture house performed at the end of the event.
