Next action by Heydar Aliyev Foundation to provide necessary medicine to diabetics

Heydar Aliyev Foundation held next action to provide necessary medicine to diabetics.

 

Implemented along with Health Ministry, Azerbaijan Diabetes Society and “Novo Nordisk” Company Azerbaijan Office, the project aims to relieve health of people with diabetes and supply them with modern means of treatment.

 

In frame of the project, 2000 injection devices and tips have been delivered to the country to be supplied to 1200 persons under bad financial conditions and with serious after-effects of the disease. Teenagers, expectant mothers, persons whose glichemical index is above 9% will be the first.

 

Since 2004, Heydar Aliyev Foundation has yearly been supplying the patients under 14 with medicines and pen-injectors as part of the project “Care to Children with Diabetes”. The Foundation also provides medicines for diabetics to refugees, IDPs and poor families holding humanitarian actions in frame of international cooperation. In frame of the 2009 – Year of Children, 276 children living in Baku were examined at the Clinical Hospital No.6 and supplied with insulin analog and pen-injectors.  

 

Successful projects Heydar Aliyev Foundation performs together with other non-governmental institutions support the respective State Programme to provide necessary medicines and examinations to diabetes-affected persons in the republic.
