Blood donation action organized in Lerik at the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation

Blood donation action was held at Lerik District Central Hospital on the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, September 24.

5 employees of the Bahadur Eyvazov Hematology and Transphysiology Institute drew blood from 300 people in the first day of the action held for the first time in the district.

The action aims to help people suffering from thalassemia, hemophilia, pregnant women losing a great deal of blood during birth and those having an accident.

Over 1000 people were registered in the action, which will last 3-4 days depending on the number of persons registered. After being tested in Baku, the blood will be handed over to the Central Blood Bank.
