An Iftar table was laid in Ganja’s Imamzadeh shrine following the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s initiative.

 

First, ayahs and prayers from holy Qur’an were read.

 

In the speeches were noted that although the state and religion are separated in Azerbaijan, this country follows Islamic faith, and Islamic culture. The month of abundance, solidarity, friendship, brotherhood, love and kindness, the Ramadan is celebrated in Azerbaijan, as in other Muslim faith countries. Solidarity and stability is dominating the country today. In speeches, works carried out towards repairing and restoring religious temples, preserving Islamic and national-spiritual values were talked about, and Azerbaijan was praised as an example of tolerance for world countries.

 

Advantages of Ramadan, the sultan of the eleven months, was talked about around the Iftar table, and benevolent deeds deemed important to be done in this month were noted. Peace was wished to our country, and prayers were read for the souls of those perished for the integrity of our lands.
