Azerbaijan to be represented at the 59th Venice Biennale with the organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation

Azerbaijan will be represented for the 8th time at the Venice Biennale, one of the world’s famous cultural platforms. Azerbaijan has been participating in the Venice Biennale since 2007.

 

The Azerbaijani pavilion at the 59th Venice Biennale was designed on the theme “Born to love”, enjoying the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Artworks of 7 Azerbaijani artists - Juk (Narmin Israfilova), Infinity, Ramina Saadatkhan, Fidan Kim (Novruzova), Fidan Akhundova, Sabiha Khankishiyeva and Aghdes Baghyrzadeh - will be presented at the national pavilion, to be inaugurated on April 21st in the old building of Procuratie Vecchie on the central Holy Marc Square of Venice. At the national pavilion, 7 artists working on contemporary art will deliver to the audience their ideas, as well as rich culture and historical features of the country, using modern techniques and methods.  The Biennale will continue until November 27th
