Secondary School No.18 named after Nizami Aydin in Ganja city has been operating since 1965. Following the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s initiative, basic repair works were carried out on the old building of the school, and, taking into account the existing demand, a new building was constructed to accommodate additionally 280 pupils.

 

Designed for 1000 pupils, the school has been operating to teach on Azerbaijani and Russian sections. There are 51 classrooms, chemistry, biology and physics laboratories, a labour room, a military training room, sports and assembly halls, a library, a teachers’ room, as well as a first aid room, a kitchens and a canteen in the building. A sports ground with artificial cover was created on the territory. The school has been provided with uninterrupted heating and water systems. The territory of the school has been asphalted and strips of greenery laid out.
