Secondary School No.6 named after Jafar Jabbarly in Khachmaz city started to function in 1976. As the school building had fallen into disrepair, basic repair of the school building, meant for 1176 pupils, was performed by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
There are 55 classrooms, physics, chemistry and biology laboratories, 2 rooms for informatics, rooms for military training, first aid and labour training, a library, a canteen, an assembly hall and an open-air sports ground in the school building. The education establishment has been provided with necessary furniture and equipment.
Up-to-date heating and illumination systems were installed at the education institution. A boiler room and water tanks were built in the new school’s yard. The school yard was covered with asphalt, and improvement and greenery planting works were carried out on the territory.
Moreover, a memorial board was created in memory of the school graduates-martyrs of the Karabakh war, and two sports grounds were built on the territory.
