Gabala district’s Nij settlement secondary school No.2

A new school was constructed, on the initiative from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, for Gabala district’s secondary school No.2, which was built in 1930 and became unfit after long years of use. Construction of the school building started in April of 2011. On November 17, 2011, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan inaugurated the school.

Constructed in a one-ha area, the four-storied school building has 20 classrooms, two laboratories and other rooms of various purpose. Classrooms have been supplied with necessary equipment and accessories. Information technology room has been fully computerized and provided  with rapid Internet. Every condition has been created in the assembly room designed for 200 persons for holding various events. More than five thousand books have been collected in the library on the second floor of the school.  The sports hall has been supplied with necessary equipment. In addition, a football pitch has been created in the school’s yard.
