Secondary school №120 in Zira settlement of the Khazar District has been constructed on the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s initiative. Built in 1960, the two-building school had fallen into disrepair, therefore it was demolished in August of 2011 and a new education hotbed with 5 buildings was constructed in its place. President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva attended the opening of the school, September 14, 2012.

Consisting of 5 buildings, the school has 54 classrooms, subject rooms, a library with a rich books stock, electronic library, computer rooms and language laboratory, assembly and conference rooms, rest rooms for schoolchildren, a canteen, cafeteria and a teachers’ room. Currently, the school has the capacity to teach 1404 schoolchildren.

The school’s yard has been improved, decorative bushes and trees planted, and rest corners have been created for schoolchildren.

A sports ground designed for 52 viewers has been provided with artificial grass cover. There are also a running track, basketball, volleyball, tennis and mini-football pitches. Military trainings may as well be provided on the pitch.
