10th International Mstislav Rostropovich Festival opens in Baku
On April 22, opening of the 10th International Mstislav Rostropovich Festival took place in the Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic named after M.Magomayev.
Culture minister Abulfas Garayev addressed the opening ceremony.
Then, the Festival was launched by a concert programme of the Azerbaijan State Symphonic Orchestra named after U.Hajibeyli, directed by People’s Artist Rauf Abdullayev.
Works by world-renowned composers Ludwig Beethoven, Peter Chaikovskiy and Johannes Brahms were performed at the two-section concert.
