Familiarization with the conditions created in a house constructed in place of the earthquake-damaged home in Shamakhy

First Vice-president of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva, in the framework of her visit to Shamakhy, became familiarized with the conditions created in a house constructed in place of the home damaged by the earthquake occurred on February 5-6 this year, belonging to Hijran Ismayilova, residing at 26, Shirvanshah Ibrahim Street of the city.

 

Mehriban Aliyeva: I am very glad to see you.

 

Hijran Ismayilova: Thank You. May God be pleased.

Hijran Ismayilova: May God be pleased.

 

Mehriban Aliyeva: This house has been constructed with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

 

Hijran Ismayilova: Yes. You have provided us with the home.

 

Mehriban Aliyeva: It was constructed in a short time span.

 

Anar Alakbarov: Mehriban khanum, following your instruction, we constructed and commissioned this house within two months.

 

Hijran Ismayilova: Thank You very much, Mehriban khanum.

 

Private homes had fallen into an emergency state in the districts of Aghsu and Ismailli too, along with Shamakhy, as a result of the earthquake, and social and infrastructure objects suffered damage. After the natural disaster, works started immediately on removing the after-effects of the earthquake, following the task and instructions of President Ilham Aliyev. To this end, funds were allocated from the President’s Reserve Fund by a relevant Resolution signed by the head of the state. In accordance with the resolutions signed by President Ilham Aliyev on 12th and 13th September, 2 million Manats were allocated to each of Aghsu and Shamakhy districts to continue the works on removing the damage caused to residential houses in these districts.

 

Representatives of the Regional Development Public Association of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation too visited immediately the areas affected by the natural disaster, and recorded appeals of citizens, examining the after-effects of the earthquake.
