A sports and entertainment park complex in Khatai district

A sports and entertainment park complex has been laid out in an area covering the streets Yusif Safarov, Aladdin Guliyev and Sergey Senyushkin in Khatai district of Baku, at the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. On August 24, 2018, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva became familiarized with the conditions created in the complex.

The total area of the park complex is 36,833 square metres. The park’s territory has been cleaned off oil and marble dust wastes discovered during the geological research works carried out before the construction works started, and the soil was fertilized, a strip of greenery laid out, tens of trees and decorative shrubs planted, and state-of-the-art illumination system and surveillance cameras were installed here. Statues made of natural stone and metal in the sports and entertainment park complex keep harmony with the landscape. The statues are distinguished by their special design and style. Various stone statues, including those shaped like a heart, and a Love composition have been installed in the park. There is also a roofed chess pavilion on the territory of the park complex. Moreover, two football pitches, a universal sports ground for volleyball, handball and basketball games, as well as a training apparatus area have been created here.
