In September 2008, the collection of Azerbaijani cartoons was published by the Heydar
Aliyev Foundation in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of
Azerbaijan. The set of DVD disks issued to commemorate the 75th anniversary of animation art
in Azerbaijan includes 9 films produced in various periods and restored in the Azerbaijani
language.
In October 2008, Shusha Graphics book in Azerbaijani, Russian and English was
published with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The book starts with a historic
article about the town of Shusha, currently under occupation, and provides graphic images of
local mosques, neighborhoods, squares, springs, galleries, architectural landmarks and
residences of various Azerbaijani figures in culture and arts originating from Shusha.
In 2009 “Gabusname” was published in Russian language.
In May 2009, a multimedia children’s songs disk was issued with records of popular
children’s songs by recognized Azerbaijani poets and composers performed by renowned artists.
In 2009, a karaoke disk with popular Azerbaijani songs and in 2012 with the works of
Azerbaijani composers was produced.
In May 2009, Ahlagi Nasiri work encompassing rich and versatile philosophical views of
famous Azerbaijani mediaeval scholar and public figure Nasiraddin Tusi was published in a
form of a very refined and elaborate edition.
In 2009, the Azerbaijani Mugham multimedia collection was issued as a training aid
following the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s incentive.
The collection provides substantial explanations regarding this valuable piece of
Azerbaijan’s musical heritage including types of mugham, its genre, origin, structure, musical
components and specificities of composition.
With 8 disks in a set, The Azerbaijani Mugham multimedia collection is offered in
Azerbaijani and English.
The World of Mugham edition published in 2009, was dedicated to the International
Mugham Festival held in Baku under the auspices of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The
collection comprises books in the Azerbaijani, Russian and English languages and 33 DVD disks
with records of the Azerbaijani mugham operas, symphony mughams, classic Azerbaijani
mugham compositions, foreign artists’ performances and pieces of ethnic jazz.
Book “Azerbaijan” went out of print and was presented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation
in March 2010. The publication drafted to provide comprehensive information about the country
boasts of more than 1000 photos depicting the nation’s ancient history, culture, deeply-rooted
traditions, and ethnographic specificities together with the very modern images. Originally
published in Azerbaijani, the edition is currently available in the Russian, English, French,
German, Italian versions.
