In 2011, “Gara Garayev. Life and Creative Legacy in the Files of the Azerbaijan State
Museum of Musical Culture” book tracing the background of one of Azerbaijan’s most famous
composers of the 20th century was published by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation together with the
Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
In February 2011, a set of booklets on the Azerbaijani history, nature, cultural legacy,
carpet-weaving traditions, architecture and cuisine was published in French with the Heydar
Aliyev Foundation’s support.
In February 2011, book “Azerbaijani Carpets” comprising booklets and multimedia disks
with detailed information on the local carpet-weaving traditions was published in the
Azerbaijani, English and French languages.

The Mansurovs” book dedicated to the 100th anniversary of outstanding tar performer,
the People’s Artist of Azerbaijan, Bahram Mansurov, was issued by the Heydar Aliyev
Foundation to commemorate the musician’s 100th anniversary in 2011.
In 2011, “Khamsa” by genius Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi was published in
commemoration of the poet’s 870

jubilee.
In 2011 the Foundation published a French-Azerbaijani dictionary.
In 2012 “Azerbaijan through a Foreign Lens” photo album was published by the Heydar
Aliyev Foundation and United Nations Development Program. The works of the album was
taken from the cognominal exhibition held in Baku in 2011.
In 2012 about 40 books about different spheres of our culture and literature have been
translated and published in French language.
