Capital repair, renovation and construction of health facilities
By the initiative of the Foundation, the projects on rehabilitation and construction of
health facilities are being implemented in the capital city and the regions.
In 2006, a polyclinic and an ambulance station were built in the settlement of Turkan.
In December 2006, with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation the
United City
Hospital № 31
was commissioned after its capital repair in
Shuvalan settlement of Baku
.
The
Hospital with 25 beds and a polyclinic was completely rebuilt, gynecological and radiological
departments were established and X-ray, ultrasound and other modern equipment was provided.
In October 2008, a
Diagnostic and Treatment Center
which was completely renovated
and equipped with modern appliances was put in operation in the village of Zira. In the center,
the first floor of which is designated for a polyclinic, also function medical facilities, therapy and
maternity departments, laboratory - all supplied with contemporary equipment. Also, an
emergency healthcare station operates at the center.
In October 2009, under the initiative of the Foundation, the
first hospital in the Gala
village - a branch of the United City Hospital № 29
was commissioned. In this health facility
furnished with modern medical equipment also function an emergency healthcare station and a
pharmacy.
Given the need of building a specialized center for the diagnosis and treatment of
children, the Foundation built a
Psycho-Neurological Children's Center
in Baku in 2009. Active
therapy and massage therapy compartments, diagnostics facility, bedrooms, and dining rooms -
all supplied with modern equipment - contribute to rapid restoration of health of children
receiving treatment in the center.
In 2009, within the framework of the
"
For life without thalassemia" project
,
the
Thalassemia Center
was built in Baku.
In 2009, at the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the capital repair and
reconstruction of the
children's sanatorium "Tebessum"
were finalized. All buildings of
gastroenterology and pulmonology specialization, including treatment rooms, were repaired; a
modern type boiler installation was built as well. The physiotherapy and manipulation rooms,
sports and music halls, physical therapy, ECG and massage units, staff lounge, laboratory, and
art studio function at the sanatorium.
In February 2011, by the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the
City Healthcare
Complex №34
was put in operation following its reconstruction in
Pirshagy settlement
of
Sabunchu district. An additional building and an emergency healthcare station - all meeting
modern requirements - were built for the healthcare complex.
In 2011, with the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the inauguration ceremony
of the
Rehabilitation Center for Children with Special Needs
intended for medical examination
and treatment of children with cerebral paralysis by modern methods and their integration into
