BALABAN
Balaban is a popular wooden wind tool with eight apertures in the front and one in the back for sound regulation.
The mouthpiece is made of cane. The origin of the instrument’s name is traced to the Azerbaijani words bala,
i.e. ‘baby’, ‘small’, and ban, i.e. ‘crackle’.
