Public Support to the
Eurovision Song Contest
Hundreds of youth were launching flashing balloons to the air to convey the message of the ESC 2012 motto
Light
Your Fire!
whereas others were swirling all over the city on motor bikes adorned with flags of Baku’s Eurovision show.
The Contest’s insignia were portrayed in front of the Eurovision Center, concerts with Eurovision stars arranged and
quizzes conducted.
Events of this type were far not infrequent prior to the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. For a number of local citizens,
this was a kind of contribution to the forthcoming show. Arranged both by the official Eurovision Song Contest Fan
Club and various enthusiasts, that provided a tangible contribution to holding this project in our country.
