EuroClub and EuroVillage:
the Venue for Personal
Contact with Stars
EuroClub is one of the major venues of the Eurovision Song Contest. This is also the main entertainment spot for the
national delegations, accredited media representatives and fans.
During the Eurovision Song Contest 2012, the EuroClub was located at a sizeable athletic arena known as the Hand
Games Hall, just 2,5 kilometers away from the Baku Crystal Hall along the coastline. With an overall space of 2500
square meters, EuroClub started functioning as of May 13, whereas the official opening ceremony of the Eurovision
Song Contest 2012 was held here on May 19.
The EuroClub was the venue for official receptions hosted by various delegations participating in the Eurovision Song
Contest 2012. Also, it was the place for the farewell ceremony on May 26, upon the Grand Final’s completion.
This year’s EuroClub was standing out indeed due to the spacious area, state-of-the-art illumination and the stage
design. As far as another Eurovision attribute, the EuroVillage, is concerned, during the Eurovision Song Contest 2012
hosted in Baku it was located in the 5330 square meters area at the Seaside National Park, just behind the heritage
building of the Abdulla Shaiq State Puppet Theater. The EuroVillage was operating since May 19 till May 27.
Placed 3 kilometers away from the Baku Crystal Hall, the EuroVillage provided daily shows and concerts involving the
Eurovision Song Contest 2012 participants, as well as offered various Eurovision-related accessories for sale.
Both the EuroClub and the EuroVillage provided numerous fans with an excellent chance to meet the Eurovision stars
in person.
