The Eurovision Song Contest show in May 2012 attracted thousands of tourists, officials and fans to Baku with media
representatives alone exceeding 1500. This influx of visitors required proper transportation services.
This borne in mind, 42 VIP buses and the same number of luxury sedans were provided to the official delegations,
available in 24/7 regime. Meanwhile 66 buses operating on 9 routes were shuttling between the Baku Crystal Hall and
downtown Baku together with 1700 taxi cabs.
Shuttle bus service was arranged to facilitate access to Baku Crystal Hall on the days of the Eurovision Song Contest 2012.
The buses were operating until 5:00 in the morning.
The Baku Subway operating in the 24-hour regime on the days of Semi-Finals and Grand Final.
The Eurovision Call & Inquiry Service was provided to facilitate the use of transportation means by tourists.
