President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas visits Heydar Aliyev Foundation

In frame of his official visit to Azerbaijan, President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas visited Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva welcomed the guest and informed him of objectives and actions of the Foundation, which was established in the memory of the Azerbaijani people’s national leader and studies and promotes his rich legacy, contributes to the prosperity of Azerbaijan via socioeconomic and cultural projects, backs the development of its culture and the study of its history.

The Palestinian President viewed the exhibits and pictures taken from the archive of great leader Heydar Aliyev and covering his activity.

He was told the era of the national leader’s leadership is one of the most glorious pages in the history of Azerbaijan. Socioeconomic development and achievements recognized by the international community as unparalleled successes of the country is the result of the great leader’s policy.

The honor guest was familiarized with documents reflecting the very different moments of life of phenomenon person Heydar Aliyev and providing a comprehensive idea of the entire history of Azerbaijan, gifts presented by world-famous politicians, books on the national leader, views said by world-known figures of politics, science, culture and art on the founder of the independent state of Azerbaijan, saw photographs of the national leader taken with leaders of different countries.

President Mahmoud Abbas signed the Foundation`s guest book.

President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva presented the Palestinian leader with a keepsake and a book dedicated to activities of the Foundation.
