A photo exhibition entitled “Azerbaijan – A Land of Tolerance” was opened, November 22, 2013, at the Azerbaijani Cultural Centre in Paris, with organizational support from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the State Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan for Works with Religious Entities.

 

The exhibition was attended by President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva, Foundation’s Vice-president Leyla Aliyeva, state and government officials of France, UNESCO Director General Irina Bokova, ISESCO Director General Abdulaziz Othman Al-Twaijri, Mayor of the 7th District of Paris Rashida Dati, senators, deputies, well-known masters of art, representatives of the French public, and employees of the diplomatic corps accredited in this country.

 

Photos by world-renowned photographer Reza Deghati – who has made several trips to Azerbaijan within the project “Azerbaijan – the Address of Tolerance” of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation – reflecting religious tolerance in Azerbaijan were displayed at the exhibition.
