Mehriban Aliyeva meets with Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe Maud de Boer-Buquicchio

May 24, Mehriban Aliyeva, Azerbaijan’s First Lady, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP, met with Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe Maud de Boer-Buquicchio, who is in Baku to attend the 7th Conference of Ministers Responsible for Equality between Women and Men of the Council of Europe entitled “Gender equality: bridging the gap between de jure and de facto gender equality”. 

Thanking Maud de Boer-Buquicchio for accepting invitation to attend the Conference, Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva stressed the importance of the Conference. The President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation underlined topicality of the issues to be discussed at the event.

The Deputy Secretary General expressed her satisfaction with visiting Azerbaijan. She also highlighted the importance of the event.
