Meeting with UN Supreme Representative for Alliance of Civilizations Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser

President Ilham Aliyev and Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva received UN Supreme Representative for Alliance of Civilizations Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser, May 17. 

Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser said the high-level development processes in Baku have made much impression on him. Underscoring the high importance of the first European Games to be held in Baku, the guest talked also about the significance of the Third World Forum for Intercultural Dialogue, and noted that headed by him organization was a reliable partner of the Forum. He highly appreciated the policy of dialogue and mutual understanding between nations, religions and cultures in Azerbaijan, and thanked President Ilham Aliyev for the contribution made to the “Baku Process”. 

The guest also mentioned that most influential organizations and eminent persons of the world would take part in the UN Global Forum for Alliance of Civilizations to be held in 2016 in Baku. 

President Ilham Aliyev expresses confidence that, as all other international events hosted by Azerbaijan, the UN Global Forum for Alliance of Civilizations will also be held at the highest level. 

Exchange of opinions was held at the meeting on the matters associated with preparation for the UN Global Forum for Alliance of Civilizations to be held in 2016 in Baku.
