Mehriban Aliyeva met with UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan, UNDP Resident Representative Fikret Akcura

Mehriban Aliyeva, the First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP, met with UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan, UNDP Resident Representative Fikret Akcura, March 1.

Mehriban Aliyeva said Azerbaijan fruitfully cooperates with the UNDP. President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation noted “Access of Blind and Visually Impaired Persons to ICT” Project has successfully been completed, and mentioned the establishment of regional information centers for the handicapped in Ganca and Nakhchyvan.

Expressing gratitude to the First Lady for the successful cooperation, Akcura highlighted the importance of the present meeting for discussing the future cooperation including implementation of the scheduled projects. He praised Mehriban Aliyeva`s care for education and healthcare in the country, adding UNDP is keen on cooperating with the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

The parties talked of the joint projects, also the works underway in Yevlakh and discussed the prospects of the partnership.
