Contest for state-funded education of Azerbaijani youth in Lithuania

Contest is underway for the state-funded education of Azerbaijani youth at the Lithuanian educational institutions for 2010/2011 academic year according to the agreement signed between Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Lithuanian Embassy to Azerbaijan, the State Student Admission Commission reports.

 

The contest for bachelor’s degree is available for the leavers having participated in the admission exams to the higher schools of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2010/2011 academic year in corresponding specialization groups and having more than 300 total points. Relative point of leavers in English must be over 80 to partake in the contest for specializations in I, II and III specialization groups. To take part in the contest for specializations in IV specialization group, leavers are required to have ‘5’ in English in certificate. Students having completed the first year of higher schools in the country can also participate in the contest.

 

The contest for master’s degree has been designed for the holders of bachelor’s degree who met the contest requirements in admission exams for master’s degree at the higher schools of the republic and collected more than 20 points in English test in the first phase of the examination.

 

Education of students in Lithuania will be financed by state, however dormitory and other costs will be covered by students. Registration for the contest is held from 26 July to 10 August by the Document Submission Commission under the State Student Admission Commission at 17, Academician Hasan Aliyev Street.
