President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva inaugurate school complex built at the initiative and with support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva attended opening ceremony of the school complex built at the initiative and with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Narimanov district, Baku, November 9.


The President and his spouse cut a ribbon and toured the building.

 

They saw a photo stand featuring national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev`s care and attention to education in the country, a corner reflecting the state attributes.

 

Education Minister Misir Mardanov told the President that construction of the school began in January 2009. The building was constructed to modern standards.

 

The four-storey, 1000-seat building has 26 classrooms equipped with new appliances and school supplies, 3 labs, library, 2 computer rooms, assembly hall, rest rooms for pupils, 100-seat canteen, teacher’s rooms, gym available for handball, mini football, basketball and other disciplines, 250-seat swimming pool and other facilities, also a primary military training room. It is the first secondary school in the country where debate rooms for pupils have been opened.

 

The building has a ventilation, videomonitoring and fire emergency system.

 

President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse visited classrooms, library, canteen and gym.
