President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva visits children boarding home no7 in Saray settlement of Absheron district opened after capital repair and reconstruction
Mehriban Aliyeva, the First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP, visited Children Boarding Home No7 in Saray settlement of Absheron district opened after capital repair and reconstruction under initiative and support of the Foundation, December 24.
The First Lady was presented flowers by children.
She was informed capitally repaired and reconstructed in base of the joint project by Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Caspian International Investment Company, the well-equipped Boarding Home includes 2-floor administrative building, 4-floor dormitory, gym, canteen, kitchen, laundry and other facilities.
140 children aged 4-18 needing a special care live at the 2-hectare Boarding Home that has been reconstructed in frame of the Children Homes and Boarding Schools Development Programme of the Foundation. Children have been classified in groups for age, gender and disease. Each group has bedrooms and game rooms.
Mehriban Aliyeva saw pictures showing the state of the complex before and after the repair.
The main building’s first floor includes a photo stand reflecting national leader Heydar Aliyev’s meetings with children, as well rooms for parents’ meeting with children. The Boarding Home employs 95 people.
On the second floor, which features photo stands displaying the care by President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva to children, the President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation was familiarized with 30-seat conference room and a daycare centre, where lessons are given to children. Mrs Aliyeva talked to children, viewed the works of art and weaving made by children at the skilful hands room. Children presented a gift reflecting the logo of Heydar Aliyev Foundation to Mehriban Aliyeva.
In the rehabilitation room the First Lady was informed children with disordered locomotive system are rehabilitated here with certain games. In the kitchen, Mehriban Aliyeva listened to poems on the homeland and the president said by girls.
The Boarding Home has gyms supplied with sport equipments, a swimming pool where children with limited motion will be cured via water procedures.
The facility has an exhibition hall of handworks by children, a learning room where a primary education will be provided upon a simplified program, a music hall equipped with musical instruments and a physiotherapy room provided with high-frequency device, inhalation, galvanizer that are used to treat bone pains and chronic diseases.
Mehriban Aliyeva was acquainted with 80-seat canteen and kitchen.
Improvement and verdurization actions have been taken at the yard of the Boarding Home, flowers planted, benches, fountains and entertaining facilities set in the park.
Expressing satisfaction of works done, Mehriban Aliyeva wished success to the staff.
