A school building constructed by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Poladly village of Aghjabedi district is commissioned

On September 15, a school building meant for 300 pupils, constructed by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation for the secondary school in Poladly village of Aghjabedi district, was commissioned. The event held on this occasion was attended by representatives of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Ministry of Science and Education, the Garabagh Regional Education Department, the Executive Authority of Aghjabedi district, teachers and pupils of the school, and villagers.

The event started by the State Anthem of Azerbaijan. Speaking at the event, representative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Elvin Aslanov, head of the Law Department of the Ministry of Science and Education Sabuhi Mahmudov, head of Aghjabedi district Executive Authority Rafil Huseynov congratulated teachers and pupils on the commissioning of the school building, underscoring the state support provided to the advancement of education in the country, strengthening of the material and technical base of secondary schools, construction of new education institutions, and projects implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in this field. It was noted that inauguration of 23 education institutions based on the order by the Ministry of Science and Education and 19 on the basis of the order by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation are expected in the course of the academic year 2023-2024.

As the secondary school in Poladly village of Aghjabedi district - constructed in 1988 - had been unfit for quality education, a decision was taken to construct a new education institution. Having undertaken the works associated with the construction of a new school building, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation constructed a new school for 300 pupils. Two-storied, comprised of 3 buildings, the new education institution has 14 classrooms, laboratories for physics, chemistry and biology, rooms for information technology, military and labour training, a library, a canteen, an assembly and sports halls, and an outdoor sports ground. All rooms have been provided with necessary equipment and visual aids. Improvement and greenery planting works were carried out on the school’s territory. The works done by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation for the Poladly village school aim at providing quality education, and sustainable improvement of children’s knowledge and skills.

Speaking at the event, representatives of the teaching staff and parents expressed their profound thanks to the head of the state, saying that they would respond to this high care by their practical work.  

After the speeches, attendees of the event became familiar with the facilities created in the school building. 344 pupils are expected to study at this education institution in the academic year 2023-2024. A teaching staff of 34 people are employed at the school.
