The 86th birthday of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev and 5th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev Foundation marked in Romania

Event was held May 10 in Heydar Aliyev Park in center of Bucharest on the 86th birthday of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev. The event was attended by representatives of Romania Office of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Romania-Azerbaijan Friendship Society, Romania-Azerbaijan Trade Chamber, Romania Office of SOCAR, Romania-Azerbaijan Youth and Culture Association, Turkey-Romania Trade Chamber, Azeris living in this country and representatives of the Romanian public.

 

Ambassador Eldar Hasanov talked of difficult and decent life of national leader Heydar Aliyev, his invaluable services before our people.

 

Participants laid wreaths and flowers on Heydar Aliyev’s bust.

 

The same day, the 5th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev Foundation was marked at the Office of the Foundation in Bucharest.

 

Julian Fota, Aide to the Romanian President for National Security Affairs, Nikolay Ontsyanu, member of Board of Social Democrat Party, the government coalition member, and Mayor of the 2nd Sector, the biggest district of the capital, Danuts Liga, senator of Liberal Democrat Party, the government coalition member, journalists were present in the event.

 

Ambassador Eldar Hasanov talked of generous works done by Heydar Aliyev Foundation, projects implemented at the initiative of Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP, in field of education, health, culture, sport and social sphere. 

 

Head of Romania Office of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Igbal Hajiyev talked of works done by the Representation, including sponsoring the elderly home in Kluj City, rendering humanitarian aid to Suchava Region damaged by torrent in 2008, supporting the children home in Bucharest’s 2nd Sector, noting these works will be continued.   

 

Doctor of history, Bucharest University professor Kopi Kujuk talked of his books ‘Heydar Aliyev – Ataturk of our time’ and ‘Brief history of Azerbaijan’, presented the first copies to the participants.

 

Chairman of Turkey-Romania Trade Chamber Tamer Atalay noted necessity for assessment of Heydar Aliyev personality and policy not in frame of Azerbaijan but in the global scale.

 

Julian Fota, Aide to the Romanian President for National Security Affairs, expressed gratitude to Ambassador Eldar Hasanov for the noble activities Heydar Aliyev Foundation performs in Romania and helping citizens in need.
