Diplomats accredited in Morocco visit Heydar Aliyev Foundation
June 4, heads of diplomatic missions of Portugal, Greece, Thailand, Oman, Qatar, Mauritania, Brunei, Malaysia, Vietnam and Bangladesh accredited in Morocco and representative of the European Commission visited the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
Guests were informed of objectives of the Foundation, established in memory of national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, which studies rich cultural legacy of Azerbaijan, makes contribution to realization of the national leader’s dreams.
They were familiarized with numerous documents and pictures reflecting the genius person’s childhood, youth, university years, family and multilateral actions and creating a detailed idea of the entire history of Azerbaijan covering over 30 years, gifts presented by world-famous figures of politics, books on the national leader, saw photos taken world-famous figures of science, culture and art, leaders of various countries.
Visitors viewed photographs showing the very various moments of the great person’s actions in Moscow as the second person of USSR government, meetings he held in frame of his numerous visits to a number of countries as the head of USSR delegation.
Impressed by familiarization with the Foundation diplomats signed the Guest Book.
They also watched a documentary on activity of the Foundation in field of education, health and other spheres.
Visitors noted the Diplomacy Foundation has awarded the prize of high achievements to Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, for contributions to public and cultural diplomacy, popularization of Azeri culture worldwide. The prize was presented to Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
Diplomats were presented with the Foundation`s keepsakes.
