A ceremony of commemoration of national leader Heydar Aliyev held due to support of representation of Heydar Aliyev Foundation in the Russian Federation

A ceremony of commemoration of national leader Heydar Aliyev was held at the Moscow State University of International Relations (MGIMO) by the Azerbaijan Club due to support of Representation of Heydar Aliyev Foundation in the Russian Federation.

In one of the prestigious universities of the Russian Federation, where several years ago Heydar Aliyev was bestowed the title of honorary doctor, have gathered the staff and students, as well as representatives of the Azerbaijan Embassy in Moscow, to pay tribute to the memory of the great politician and statesman of XX century.

The event was opened by show of documentary on different periods of the national leader’s life provided by Representation of Heydar Aliyev Foundation in the Russian Federation.

Post graduate of Diplomacy Chair of MGIMO Natig Aliyev said outstanding statesman, unique personality and genius grand master of big politics Heydar Aliyev returned self-confidence, hope for future and infinite love for the motherland to Azerbaijanis. Like all our people Azeri youth studying in Moscow will always honor the blessed memory of the genius leader. He recalled words said by President Ilham Aliyev about great leader Heydar Aliyev: ‘Though he is not with us, his policy, his philosophy lives, independent Azerbaijan founded by him lives and will always live’.

Playwright Rustam Ibrahimbeyov, aide to Heydar Aliyev, advisor to first deputy chairman of Soviet of Ministers of USSR Yuri Solodukhin, deputy chief of Secretariat of Chairman of the Council of Ministers Vladimir Ukhov, colonel of KGB Georgi Pozdorovkin shared memories on the genius political figure and kind person, talked of interesting episodes of his life. They valued Heydar Aliyev as a world-scale personality who has walked down forever in the list of outstanding politicians of our time.
