Regional Development Public Union and UAFA to implement a joint project

A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Regional Development Public Union (RDPU) and Great Britain’s United Aid For Azerbaijan (UAFA) organization. According to the Memorandum, RDPU and UAFA will implement joint projects in the regions, aiming towards developing science, education, healthcare, sports, tourism, ecology, culture, art and entrepreneurship, and studying problems in other spheres and solution thereof.

Execution of the Sustainable Regional Development Programme started in two districts, Bilasuvar and Jalilabad. To be realized within the program to continue until October 17, 2017, the project provides for widening sustainable agricultural possibilities of low-income households, promotion of entrepreneurship, and strengthening of the healthcare, education and social services network aiming at children, using state-of-the-art methodologies.

With a view to participating in the implementation of the project in the regions, young people chosen from among higher school graduates have attended trainings arranged by UAFA.

Representatives of the project have held meetings with families in Bilasuvar and Jalilabad districts in order to study problems of orphans, people in need of legal and social support, and coordinate them with relevant state authorities with a view to solving such issues.
