A concert by the National Music Instruments Ensemble of the State Philharmonic of Azerbaijan take place in Paris

With a view to more closely introducing Azerbaijan to the French, events within the framework of the “Azerbaijani Camp” organized on Saint Sulpice Square of Paris city’s 6th district with the organizational support  of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation  continues.

 

On September 23, residents of Paris and tourists listened to another concert by Azerbaijani masters of art.

 

This time, the National Music Instruments Ensemble of the State Philharmonic of Azerbaijan performed before the audience. Honoured Worker of Culture Elchin Abbasov, Khayyam Mammadov, Chinara Mutallibova, Shafa Karimov, Elmir Tarverdiyev, Eyvaz Mutallimov and Mehman Nuriyev performed on various music instruments, and khanendehs – Honoured Artist Sabuhi Ibayev,Gunay Imamverdiyeva and Konul Taghiyeva - sang mughams and folk songs.

 

Visitors of the “Azerbaijani Camp” were entertained to various types of wines, sweets,  jams, dry fruits, tea, and got closely acquainted with the process of carpet weaving and making copper items. Visitors viewed books and booklets related to Azerbaijan’s history, culture, music and Daghlyg Garabagh and Shusha – and integral part of Azerbaijan. They were presented books about the life and creativity of 12th century Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi published by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
